Hi,
Nearly every time I open Skype I have to fill my account password in a pop-up password dialog box. Doesn't look like the KDE one, and it will never remember the password. When I'm on Ubuntu I fill in the password once and it won't ask again. How can I get the password remembered so I do not have to fill it in nearly every time? Please note that this is not the Skype password, it's my user account password. |

Hello cdysthe-neon,
I believe the box you are seeing is for "gnome-keyring" it is the password manager for the gnome-desktop. If I remember correctly, Skype defaults to storing passwords in it. The same thing happens for me when I open Evolution (Gnome mail client) on KDE Plasma. I need to unlock gnome-keyring first. The login manager (display manager) for Plasma, sddm, is supposed to unlock both kwallet and gnome-keyring when you first login, but I haven't found the setting to make this happen. Maybe someone here might know. If not, I would look into sddm, gnome-keyring, kwallet, and skype on Google and see if other users have found something specifically for KDE Neon. Sincerely, ChrisHRD |

Thanks! I see a bug reported for xddm in this regard but should be fixed. It would be great if this would work. Anyone? |
