Greets,
I'm running Kopete with Pidgin style using a Jabber/XMPP server. I've got several group chats and notice that they are bombarded with <user> deleted status message or <user> changed status message. I'd like to block those from being displayed. I've dug through the Configure options for Events , Chat, as well as Behavior but none seem to control what messages are shown. I also attempted to use the Privacy plugin thinking I could check the "Drop messages that contain all the following words" and putting in "deleted status message, change status message". None of that works, does anyone have any suggestions? Running KDE 4.14.38, Kopete 1.13.0, Ubuntu 18.04 Thank you. |

Under Kopete Settings -> Behavior -> Chat, you can try disabling Show events in chat window.
Alternatively, the chat window styles are saved in either /usr/share/kopete/styles (system-installed styles) or ~/.local/share/kopete/styles (per-user styles). You can (copy the system-installed style to the per-user location and) edit the style and change how status messages are displayed so that they aren't. After making the changes you should restart kopete for the change to be applied.
