OK, is everyone else having issues setting up a network printer through KDEas I am? I've just about pulled what little hair I have left out. *banging head*
If there is anyone here that has experience at that, could they PLEASE get back with me? Four computers - two running Kubuntu 18.04, one Mint 17.3 KDE (needing to upgrade to Kubuntu, IF I can get the network printing to work) and the last I threw on Mint 19.1 Cinnamon. I have an Epson ET-2750, it is hooked up to one of the Kubuntu desktops and it will print. (It is 'shared') The other kubuntu computer won't even see it on the network. It was, but now has stopped seeing it. (never could print with it though) The Mint 19.1 Cinnamon computer sees it and will print just fine. Hope I've explained well enough. WHY is it so hard to get KDE to work with networking printers? Also, when I had three of these computers running Mint 17.3 KDE, they wouldn't network print either. I would really like to get rid of three printers, and use just one, but if KDE can't do it, I'll be forced to go to Mint Cinnamon. I hate too, especially since I've run nothing but KDE since the 90's Xandros and Klikit linux days. Woodsmoke, is that you from the old Klikit days? Webby |
