Hi,

I have Kubuntu 18.10 and Android 7.1.1.

KDE Connect does not work properly. My devices are paired, I can ping, send images from phone to PC, but I can not browse phone from PC and more importantly, I can't SMS from PC.

When I try to open phone from Dolphin I get:

Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
Could not mount device filesystem

When I try to browse phone from KDE Connect system tray it hangs for a bit andI get:

Failed to mount filesystem: device not responding

Any help to resolv this issue will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

PS: My phone is rooted, I don't know if it changes things...

I have the same issue and I wondered if a solution had been proposed?

Okay, so I finally discovered that in the KDE connect app you need to expose the folders you want to see in your computer explicitly before trying to access. For each device Filesystyem expose has to be set in Plugin settings.

It could be exfat, which is proprietary for older systems. Follow this:

https://itsfoss.com/mount-exfat/

And in the case the site goes down, here are the instructions:

Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository universe

Code: Select all
sudo apt update

Code: Select all
sudo apt install exfat-fuse exfat-utils
