Konqueror and blink/qtwebengine?

Wed Nov 27, 2019 2:58 am
As what is says on the tin. I would love a browser that gives me as much control for it as Vivaldi, respects my plasma style, and can compete with firefox or chromium, as well as being authored by my favorite linux community. Some web pages does not load right on konqueror for me.
What is the future of konqueror?

I expect Konqueror to continue to receive (minimal) maintenance. (btw, current versions of Konqueror do use QtWebEngine; you can verify that by checking View > Mode)
You may also find Falkon to be of interest, which is a new-ish browser built on top of QtWebEngine and providing a much more modern look-and-feel from Konqueror (Falkon was originally Qupzilla before it moved under the KDE Applications umbrella a year or so ago).

i kinda like how Konqueror does things, and not have every function its own separate application, and plus falkon doesn't have as much raw customisability as konqueror.

Thanks for the great feedback.
