I want to share the solution I found to use the konqueror web browser to open gmail.

In my case the problem is that gmail does not detect your cookies and rejects the browser. Testing alternatives I discovered that the problem is in the web engine.

1. In the browser identifier choose the latest version of Firefox to open google.com.
2. Use the web engine: KHTML
3. clear the konqueror cache
4. reboot
5. Login to Gmail. Process until entering username and password
6. If necessary change to another web engine.
