Hey all,

I'm using networkmanager to connect to a personal server, for my job, under windows with a vpn using pptp.
Everything is ok with the vpn connection but once i'm connected i cant use the ethernet in other apps.
For example, once connected in VPN, firefox can't access to internet connection, and only the vpn is working well.
I'm not a great specialist with it and i really want to understand what's appening.

I'm using Archlinux 64 with kde and all is up to date.

Here are some pics of my connection config :

Sorry it's in french...

Hope to read you soon ;)

The pictures are almost unreadable in the first and third one, how about making actual screenshots instead of pictures? You can black out personal info on screenshots as well...

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Hello,

Sorry for the bad quality of my pics.

I tried to make new screenshots, hoping for a better quality ;)

Definitely better quality indeed :-)

Networking, VPN and Windows are really not my turf, but what information can you gather from a ping?

This is what i have with the route command : first with my normal network and after with the VPN using pptp.

I don't understand much about netwwork, but for me it seems like all the network pass through the VPN and i cant use anything, Firefox for example.
Is theer a way to share the network for all the apps ?

"ping" is a command that checks if there is a response from a server, you can ping your provider or just ping google.com. I use this to check on my network quality.
But as I said, VPN is really not my turf, we need somebody else to check in on that

It would be best if you tried using a different VPN in your work, as there is a wide choice of VPN services now.
