I'm having issues with this utility.

Is there any way I can manually set an IP address to listen to, and a password and actually have it save those settings? It seems like with a little more polish this could be a really handy and powerful utility.

1. The program launches once, then after close will not open the window up again, checking process viewer it is indeed still running, manually killing the process and then relaunching the program makes the Window actually appear.

2. The program will not save the settings I set, I set a password and check the box for unattended access, the password is different every time I reboot.

3. Afaik, there is no way to actually set and save what IP address I want KRFB to listen on.

Is there any way I can work around these issues?

Thanks for reading.

This is my first post here. Beautiful looking forums.

Are you aware of this: https://userbase.kde.org/Krfb ?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I was not, sadly that doesn't address any of my issues.

Strange, because your "issues" are described step by step in this guide :-)

FWIW: it is certainly not meant for unattended use, that would be a security problem, so it makes perfect sense that passwords are set by session

Ahh OK. I'll look into a different solution then.
