Hi everyone,
I'm running my laptop on a broadband connection and using it at home as a wireless hotspot. In my network configuration I have my wired connection, then I have set up a shared wireless connection. I want the connection password protected, but in order to connect to it on my laptop (the same computer), I have to remove the password, then connect, then set up the password each time! Once I've done this, then I can connect to my laptop wirelessly with other devices and access the Internet. If I don't remove the password before connecting on my laptop, KDE reports that "No secrets were provided." I'm not even given a chance to provide a secret. graphic design software Surely there's a way of connecting to this wireless connection without these password issues on the actual computer that's running the connection!

That sounds weird, which Plasma version and distribution do you run? Did you activate the KDE Wallet?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
