Hi. New user here, last time I used KDE was in early 2000, and I must say that the community has come a loooong way towards a professional desktop. I installed KDE this week on Manjaro, and is very impressed.
I spent an hour or two on the KDECOnnect app. It works (sort of), I can send and recieve files between my Android phone and the desktop. However, there are a couple of issues that I cant figure out. 1. Connection works only when the phone is unlocked. Is this by design, or can it be tweaked in some manner? 2. Features like send SMS seems to be non-existing even if the apps have the option listed in settings. I found some old threads and from what I can see, the project is more or less abandoned. Is that correct or is my GoogleFu not good enough? Later! Anders |

Hi,
My KDEConnect works when my Android phone is locked. Maybe some permission/Firewall/VPN setting forbids your app to access the local network when the phone os locked. I have never tried SMSs so I cannot tell. Cheers! |
