Ethernet Connection not visible

Sun Nov 29, 2020 2:43 pm
I have repeatedly tried to make my Ethernet connection appear in the network manager. I am currently using Kubuntu 21.04.

Code: Select all
Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL810xE PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 05)

In my research I recall reading something about the device being blacklisted. I am interested in enabling the interface. If the usage is not acceptable I would then disable the interface.

Thanks

erm, you do realise you are using an unreleased version of Kubuntu, which is not meant for productive use, I would expect a lot more things not working yet...
FWIW: strictly speaking, there is no Kubuntu 21.04 yet, but a Kubuntu Hirsute Hippo with no release candidate.

Closing this thread as it is out of scope for this forum.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
