Hi all,

I'm facing this problem since having moved to kubuntu 20.04 LTS.

I started with both 16.04, 18.04 and successfully upgraded them. Locally (direct keyboard / screen interaction) everything is working fine.
But when connecting with SSH, I never get the password dialogs displayed! Neither firefox, konqueror, dolphin, all of them seem to go to the main display locally.
The "main" display of the application is routed properly through SSH.
I see in ps aux that there is the something waiting for me...
Also a colleague of mine reported this issue to me.

How can we fix this so that we can get back the password prompts via SSH?

the "tools" that seem to be malrouted are e.g. (copy from ps):
smb.so [kdeinit5] smb local:/run/user/1000/klauncherfGSObo.1.slave-socket local:/run/user/1000/konquerorssSEuz.4.slave-socket
ftp.so [kdeinit5] ftp local:/run/user/1000/klauncherfGSObo.1.slave-socket local:/run/user/1000/konqueroriEtwbH.2.slave-socket

I didn't change anything but upgrading kubuntu...

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Erik
