How can I fix the KDE Connect SMS send field? Mine currently has white text with a white background.

Created an account so I could comment as well.
The problem specifically seems to be the "Compose Message" text box does not honor a dark theme. The rest of the SMS window does honor it, only the compose does not. Typing into the white Compose box uses the theme's white text (light text on dark background) so it's unreadable. You can see this in the second screenshot where I've entered text and then highlighted it. KDE Connect SMS 20.12.3 KDE Plasma 5.21.4 Kubuntu 21.04 (Hirsute Hippo) I did not have this issue prior to upgrading to Kubuntu 21.04 (previously on 20.10 and the Compose box used the theme) Example with no text: ![]() With text entered, some manually highlighted ("This is some text" is what is written inside): ![]() |

Just wanted to follow up, i've upgraded to Kubuntu 21.10 which includes "kdeconnect/impish,now 21.08.1-0ubuntu1" and the text field to enter messages is now honoring the system theme, it's dark on my screen.
Working correctly on: KDE Connect SMS 21.08.1 KDE Plasma 5.22.5 Kubuntu 21.10 (Impish Indri) Appreciate all the work on KDE Connect, it makes my phone experience so much better! |
