Hello,

it is possible to control my mobile device from another mobile device e.g. controlling media playing. Is it possible too to control this form my desktop device (Mint). I don't find any surface to do this.
Available programs related to KDE connect:
KDE Connect
KDE Connect Indicator
KDE Connect SMS
KDE Connect SMS URL Handler
KDE Connect Phone URL Handler
KDE Connect Settings

(These are the programs I've find in the menu.)

For help I'll be very thankful.

I can control audio playback on my android smartphone with KDE Connect.
The controls hide under the second icon from the top in my system tray.

Hello,

which OS do you use?

It's a vanilla Plasma 5 experience. Why do you ask?

I asked because I think the functionality of KDE Connect depends on the OS you are using. e.g. I can't browse the file system since I don't use the filemanager you have to use to do this, so I can imagine that you need an OS surface based on KDE that you have all necessary programs installed by default. I think it's not worth installing them each only.

As I already have written I use Mint Cinnamon. So I think the integration of KDE Connect isn't that good as in KDE envirements.

Sorry, I assumed you were running Plasma or else you wouldn't even ask this. I'm surprised, but apparently you can use KDE Connect without KDE.
When I do an internet search
Code: Select all
linux mint "kde connect"
these results are among the first:
https://community.linuxmint.com/softwar ... kdeconnect
https://libredd.it/r/linuxmint/comments ... inux_mint/

I can't help you further, but I think you should seek help in Linux Mint-specific forums.
