Help compiling Kopete from source

Sun Dec 14, 2008 8:00 pm
Hi,

I've just downloaded the Kopete source code from SVN so I can use the new WLM protocol. Normally, I would move the folder to /opt, where I usually put the apps which compile from source. However, this time I've no idea where should I place the "kdenetwork" folder (which contains the "kopete" folder).

What is more, I found out the libmsn library will be needed.

Could you, please, help me with this issue?
Where are usually KDE apps placed? What would the steps be?

Thank you in advance.

I assume you mean current trunk.
Besides the kdenetwork module you would need other modules, too, like kdelibs.
See here for a detailed description of the steps needed: http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/KDE4
