On which version of konqueror would that be? It _sometimes_ work for me, but most of the time I just get a blank placeholder where the video is supposed to be playing (Konqueror as shipped by 4.1.82).

I'm running 4.1.82 also. Maybe your plugin settings are config'ed incorrectly, either not enabled or the folder in which libflashplayer.so resides isn't included in the folders searched |

I would buy that line of reasoning that if it wasn't for the following reasons: 1. It is listed in about:plugins 2. Websites that require plugins don't complain that the plugin is missing. 3. It sometimes work. If it was disabled or in the wrong folder, it would never work.

Do you have older versions of the pluging still installed?

Short answer: no. Longer answer: even if I did, it wouldn't be able to run since I've uninstalled the nspluginwrapper (the flashplugin was the only reason for having it installed in the first place). And I have checked every directory listed in the settings dialogues for possible conflicts, and the .so file is only located in one place: /usr/lib64/browser-plugins.

Alpha flash doesn't work for me too.
about:plugins shows
but when I go to youtube.com there is only black picture, right click on it shows flash menu EDIT: Now I found something interesting when reading about:plugins
So is libkmplayerpart.so conflicting with libflashplayer.so?

I made flash work. I used kmplayer to do this as explained here with 64-bit version of “knpplayer" not 32-bit.
