Hi everyone,
since the installation of opensuse 11.1 I have trouble using kinternet (as long as I am not logged in as root). I believe that the source of the trouble is the policykit, because when I run cinternet I get the error message "smpppd refused the connection: unprivileged, missing ord.opensuse.smpppd.connect". Has anyone noticed the same? How do I handle this situation? Thanks in advance, paulishere.

KInternet is an openSUSE specific application, which is not provided by KDE, despite using Qt3, and integrating fairly well into KDE. It uses smpppd ( Suse Meta Point to Point Protcol Daemon ) which is provided in SUSE only, and heavily integrated into their infrastructure ( Yast, etc ).
You are therefore more likely to find support regarding this issue on the openSUSE forums as a result.
