Hi!

I just tried to install and use kopete, but:

On my system (opensuse 11.1, KDE 4.1.3) kopete 0.60.3 freezes immediately after opening the configuration dialog (Settings->Configure...).

The error messages on the console are:

VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT: Invalid argument
VIDIOC_STREAMOFF error 22, Invalid argument
VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT: Invalid argument
QObject::connect: Cannot connect (null)::onlineStatusChanged(Kopete::Contact *, const Kopete::OnlineStatus &, const Kopete::OnlineStatus &) to Kopete::Identity::updateOnlineStatus()
VIDIOC_DQBUF error 5, Input/output error
VIDIOC_DQBUF error 5, Input/output erro

Some googling revealed that those errors seem to have something to do with webcam drivers?! I do not own or use a webcam ...

Anybody has any ideas?

Likely an inconsistency between the configuration files and your system then. Try removing Kopete's configuration files.
