Am a recent convert to Kubuntu after buying a laptop. I have the KDE4 suite loaded. When I try to connect my Motorola Z3 phone to my laptop through KDEbluetooth4, the following happens:-

phone is recognised.
Device shows as input type.
when I try to get them to hand shake, then I get the msg - the device is not an input device. The Help file was not much use, so hoping for a reply.

Thanks a million

I am not sure if this is still true, but I remember reading somewhere that Bluetooth support on Kubuntu was broken in the sense that it shipped with components which were not compatible to each other.

Might already have been resolved, though you will probably get better help on a Kubuntu forum.

Cheers,
