[SOLVED] Installing Firefox on KDE

hey all,

Im very new to Linux and KDE. When I installed Kubuntu, i ve seen that it doesn't have Firefox but has Konqueror. But i would like to use Firefox as my default web browser. But when i try to add it through Adept Installer, it seems it also installs Gnome. but i just want to istall Firefox. is there anyone who can help me? thanks in advance

At konsole, type:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install firefox

Use
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get --no-install-recommends install firefox
if you do not want to install the Gnome deps.

I must have tried it 100 times but it did not work it keeps saying:

Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
so can somebody tell me how to fix this. also, i tried what it said if you can tell me how to fix this thanks in advance. btw i am using a chromebook with kde

what is most relevant is what Linux distribution and what version of it are you using?

when you ran the suggested "fix" what exact command did you run and was there any error messages?

did you try using using the supplied package manager (might be Muon)?

I also download and intall but i have also this problem .But its automatically was solved from internet when i asked to solve this problem online..I think you should also try ..
