wireless not connecting

Sat Jan 31, 2009 8:22 pm
I downloaded the Linus XP 2008 Freespire Edition onto my HP pavilion ze 5700 Laptop, and now it will not connect wirelessly. I am using a Linksys router model WRT54G. The setting are or should be: automatic configuration - DHCP, MTU - auto, size - 1500, local IP address - 192.168.1.1, submask - 255.255.255.0, starting IP address - 192.168.1.100, DHCP server - enable. When I try to enter this information, I get the message that it is incompatible with the Gateway router; therefor nothing is taking. What do I need to do?

Given that most Networking connection tools are provided by your Distribution, You will probably find more people who can help you on the Freespire forums ( forum.freespire.org )

KDE Sysadmin
