I am unable to use the middle mouse button in konqueror at all.
This includes pasting in anything, middle click a link to open in new tab, or doing a default search of selected text. Middle button works fine in konsole and other apps fine. I am not sure if this issue is KDE or X or evdev/mouse/kbd drivers. I think this started after an upgrade to the Debian xorg 7.4~5 packages. Just checking if anyone else has this and if it should be a KDE bug or X? Thanks.

I stumbled on that if I click both the left and middle button at the same time it acts like middle button.
Xorg must be screwing up my mouse somehow but I am unsure how. |

More on this.
I can also hold shift or ctrl or both and middle click and it works. I don't have to hold any of these keys for middle button to work right in any other app other than Konqueror. Anyone? |

Figured it out.
For some reason konqueror gestures were enabled. I never enabled them so I never though to look until I stumbled on a post on them and using the middle button. |

I had the same problem on Debian Lenny (?), i use xfce with some kde programs. I think the problem began, when i added kdebase-workspace or something related. That activated the konqueror gestures. When i deactivated them in systemsettings-input actions everything was fine again. |
