Any word on Konqueror's switch to Webkit? Damn.. there are so many people I know who want to use KDE but can't just stand the poor firefox integration...

Not before Qt4.5 is release since it is the first version containing QtWebKit suitable for a real browser (e.g. plugin support)

If you are using Kubuntu, you may want to install webkit-kde package. Is the Webkit KPart for Konqueror.
But I find it **** - it only reaches 43% on Acid3 and has many drawing troubles. EDIT: A Gecko KPart would be better.

There is arora not KDE but qt. With qt4.5 it is quite nice. Though not really much features . But browsing with flash and so on is working. On a lot of websties better than with Konqueror.

Also read the comments @R_Rios: That's because the Webkit Kpart is a) very much in development and b) is based on an old Webkit branch. Take a look at one of the browsers mentioned above.

Webkit KPart, if compiled with the latest QtWebkit and not the one in Qt 4.4, reaches 100 on ACID2 with one non-smooth-animation step

@All: thanks for the reply..
I wanna try Arora. But the question is, does it integrate well in KDE 4.2 especially with themes?

It does for me. However, Arora is far from done yet! Be aware!

Arora is a Qt app, so it generally should integrate pretty well in almost every aspect.
One quirk that all pure-Qt apps have is that the blue they use for highlighting currently-selected items, etc, is too dark of a blue.

The newest version of Konqueror has a score of 83 in Acid3 test, which afaik is higher than most browsers. Webkit is actually not as good. |

Webkit scores 100 and does it smoothly. Though it is true that the Webkit snapshot Qt 4.4 is based on is not as good, Webkit in its current state is better than KHTML in that regard.

The last time I tried Konqueror, webpages don't look good in it. Fonts are distorted. Arora(I tried just hours ago) in contrast is better at displaying webpages and handles fonts well and it's really fast. The only quirks I encountered so far are the disappearing cursor in textfields, missing icons, and no flash support(I heard it already has but I don't how to enable it). But I don't know how it would perform in KDE4, because I am using Gnome as of now... I am still eagerly waiting for Kubuntu Jaunty to mature..

You'll need Qt 4.5 for Flash support as far as I know. Same is true for any application using Webkit through Qt.
