hello
maybe, this topic is not directly kde-based - but i want do discuss something about working with desktops.. brainstorming On nearly every day, i get into the same situation: my laptop, being my best friend and traveling around with me, changes his network-environment from @home to @work and vice versa. on both locations are always to normal desktop workstations, runnig on Linux & KDE, with specific stuff and software installed on them. via Synergy, i can share mouse & keyboard from my laptop with them - ssh, smbfs & co helps me to use more physical desktop-sessions parallel by the time, this becomes very comfortable! but sharing an environment isN very comprehensive in many aspects: what about some functionality to share whole windows in the manner of synergy - moving a window from the left to the right desktop ? or about "just connect" your laptop at work and sharing your "working profile" with your desktop: - whole kde-settings (systemsettings, app-settings) - |
