Hi all, first time poster, never really had any reason to post i guess, anyway i just upgraded from KDE 3.5 => 4.2.0 but now i find that when i minimise a task it doesn't show on the taskbar so i find myself having to shift => esc to view running tasks i've tried to find look and feel someone suggested thier was a check box or something i could check, but i can't seem to find it, also backed up old kde 3.x settings,
Code: Select all
 tar vcf kde3-settings.tar /home/ando/.kde

logged into terminal
Code: Select all
alt+ctrl f2
, removed my KDE profile
Code: Select all
rm -rd /home/ando/.kde

rebooted and logged in as normal, all it did was make me have to reconfigure a lot of things, without fixing my problem, if anyone else can help me on this matter it would greatly be appreciated, Ando.

debian 2.6.26-1-686.

If widgets are locked, unlock your widgets by right clicking on desktop -> Unlock widgets.
Right click on the top right cashew Image and click "Add widgets". Drag and drop the "Task manager" widget to your panel.

Oops. You might also want to check the settings of the Task Manager.
Panel Cashew > Right Click over Task Manager > Task Manager Settings.

The only show tasks that are minimized is probably the most interesting ( although you are reporting the reverse, one of the other two filters might be causing it as well )

Thanks alot, your help was very very usefull, and worked like a charm....it seems strange how after the upgrade you have to actually manually add the widget (i know it is a widget now) and it seems strange in itself to enable 1 widget by default and not others but it would be helpfull, as this is a standard feature one would expect to have right away (just a thought), all in all thanks for your help.
