[Konqueror] Problem with downloads

Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:23 pm
Hi everyone,

I have a problem with Konqueror. For my studies there is a platform called Stud.IP where I can download everything belonging to the lectures.

But the files are linked like this:
https://studip.uni-rostock.de:443/sendf ... guages.pdf

Firefox seems to realize that the query file_name is the file_name it should be, Konqueror smiply calls it sendfile.php (which is understandable in fact). But then Kget asks me where to save but than I can't even give a new file name for it, only the directory is possible to change. So I can't download two files one after another directly.

Has someone an idea for the first or the second problem?

Thanks a lot.

In fact I can't find a why how to disable it. Couldn't find something like this.

By the way: After clicking on a link in KMail like this one showthread.php?tid ... on=newpost

Konqueror tries to open /var/tmp/kdecache-sg/krun/6757.0.showthread.php and shows the source code of the page and not the page itself.

Hope somebody has an idea...

KGet can be disabled by opening KGet > Settings > Configure KGet > Advanced. Untick "Use as download manager for Konqueror". Hope this helps.
