Konqueror service menu question

Sat Apr 11, 2009 5:35 am
I am trying to write a service menu for Konqueror. I want the menu to show up only when some text is selected, similar to "Copy Text" or "Search for" right click popup menu options. Currently i am specifying the mime-type to be text/html in the desktop file and it shows up only when no text is selected.

How can i define a service menu which will act on selected text in a webpage ? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

thanks,
- Leher

I don't think you can do that with a service menu.

Service menus provide actions on file and/or directories, not on parts of a currently loaded file.

It might be possible to do this as a Klipper (KDE clipboard utility) action, or as a Konqueror plugin.

Cheers,
