net manager not remembering weps

Tue Apr 14, 2009 3:59 pm
Hello,

I just installed kubuntu 9.04 beta and got very pleased since I came from gnome and I can see that kde4 is state of the art.

Anyway, i have one problem. The Network Management Plasmoid is not remembering the wep I have given to it, I always check de connect automatically option.

However, if i right click the plasmoid icon and go to Manage Connections... And the to Wireless tab and in the history I click any of the nets I've used, I'm able to see the wep key used at any time and without providing any password.

So, my question is, how can I do to get the Network Management Plasmoid to use the sotred password anytime I need to enter to a wlan?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I just removed my wallet password and eveything seems to be working as it should, however, I'm a little worried, i left the wallet unprotected and I don't want it be like that.

Maybe the problem was that as I'd never used kde, I didn't know what to do with the wallet thing and I got tired of giving it my passwords, I really need to understand the wallet thing and be able to use it.
