How to set up ADSL?

Sat Apr 18, 2009 12:15 pm
Hi everyone. I am new to Linux. I downloaded KDE-Four-Live.i686.1.2.2.iso from http://home.kde.org/~binner/kde-four-live/, and installed it successfully. But I have no idea how to connect to Internet via ADSL. I set up ADSL in YaST > NetworkDevice > DSL. Everything went well. But I don't find out where to dial up.
There is a kppp tool. It does not work to me again.
Perhaps because I am new, so there is something I forget. Could anybody please give me detailed guide?
I am Chinese, and I'm poor in English. I hope you understand what I have written.
Thanks a lot.

I believe SUSE uses either KInternet or KNetworkManager for handling PPP ( Dialup & ADSL ) connection. Given that you have already configured it, starting the connection process through one of the above should be quite easy.

Try right clicking on the Network Manager icon in the system tray.
