konqueror 4 / clean restart

Tue May 05, 2009 12:57 pm
Hi,

how do i restart konqueror i a way so that it does not remember anything from before? I ask because i want to use my ssh-socks with tsocks. This works well, if i do that right after a su to an new user with no kde running, with my normal user however it seems to attach itself to some running process and therefore ignores the Proxy-settings.

Thanks

Try killing all running "kio_http" processes. It is possible that if any environment variables need to be set, that they will need to be set *before* KDE starts up, since KIO slaves are launched by a seperate process called "KLauncher"
