Is it possible to settup konqueror to open the gmail when i click on a mailto: link ?
Now, when i click on a mail address the kmail opens by default but i use the gmail (for the reason that i want to have access to my mailbox from everywhere)

It should be possible if you discovered the url GMail uses to open its Composer. You would then link this with a script which would launch your preferred browser to the correct URL.

It would be much easier to setup your kmail to use the gmail IMAP interface. (IMAP, not the POP3)

Using kmail or thunderbird to access gmail IMAP is very convenient, and you still can view your emails from everywhere when only browser's available.

i think you have right is a very good idea. i did nt know that with imap we can do that
