konqueror's textarea color

Tue May 12, 2009 9:28 am
My Konqueror (4.2.3 on FreeBSD-7.0) shows many sites' textareas' texts the same color as the textarea itself, so I can't read or write anything properly there (without selecting the text and making "blind" changes). One such forum is http://forums.ocsinventory-ng.org: just see any topic and try to reply to it. Do you see the text properly with Konqueror, does anyone have the same problem?

Can I somehow force textareas' text color?

You could try setting a custom style sheet in Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > Appearance > Style Sheets, which should allow you to customise the text colour and background.

I created this css:
Code: Select all
textarea {
  background-color: white;
  color: black;
}

And set it as "Use user-defined stylesheet", but it didn't change anything. I tried restarting Konqueror too, but no effect of that either.

Unfortunately I do not know much about CSS, however if that is correct then it is possible the feature is broken. To confirm this, you could test the same CSS file with Arora, which has a similar feature.
