Flash on web browser plasma applet

Sun May 17, 2009 5:42 pm
I am using 64-bit opensuse with KDE 4.3 and 64-bit flash. Flash is working just fine on konqueror with both the khtml and webkit parts, as well as firefox. However, it is not working at all in the web browser plasma applet. Flash website say I need to install flash, which of course is wrong since my other web browser can use it just fine. Does anyone know how to fix this, or whether it even can be fixed?

The Web Browser Applet uses Webkit directly. Can you try a web browser such as Arora and see if it works?

Arora works just fine.

In this case it is likely that support for external plugins has either been disabled intentionally, or not included because it is not part of Webkit itself. Please file a feature request at bugs.kde.org if one does not already exist.

It is already there. It seems to be a problem with KDE's webkit.
