Hi, I'm using kde 4.2.2 from debian unstable repos.
My konqueror is handling ed2k links as http links... well or something similar, because utf-8 ed2k links are being converted to ACE. ie: The link ed2k://|file|γειά σου.avi|1234|1234|/ is converted to ed2k://xn--|file| -5as10bqcya6c1e79abbbdsd.avi|1234|1234|/ Also, maybe for the same reason, the file ed2k.protocol seems that is not being called when clicking an elink (I can't tell for sure because never used it) Can someone help please? |

Try rebuilding the Sycoca first, to ensure that any changes to your system are picked up.

Thanks for helping, but it didn't help. Maybe to find real utf-8 elinks is hard, so I uploaded a page for testing http://antihoygan.net84.net/index.html |

I have the same problem with spanish and japanese characters, in my case doing drag & drop, and I can't found a solution. You can use konqueror 3, opera or firefox as workaround.
KDE 4 is doing bizarre things with not english characters and you can see the the effect pasting the next url both in Konqueror 3 and Konqueror 4: http://music.goo.ne.jp/lyric/search.php ... 8%A1%BA%F7 in konqueror 3 the url is not changed but in konqueror 4 the url is changed and the resulting url only works with konqueror 4. I'm testing KDE 4.3 beta and this problem is not solved but the beta seems to be more robust than KDE 4.2.3. I hope that KDE 4.3 will be the good one .

I got the following:
Which I guess is incorrect. Looks like an encoding issue to me, please file a bug report at bugs.kde.org if one does not already exist.
