I want to use addressbook from Active Directory. I know my DN, it contains cyrillic letters:
CN=Павел А. Баранчиков,OU=SEPAK,OU=Accounts,DC=rznrdu,DC=local

I cat do ldapsearch from the command line:
Code: Select all
ldapsearch -b ou=accounts,dc=rznrdu,dc=local -D "CN=Павел А. Баранчиков,OU=SEPAK,OU=Accounts,DC=rznrdu,DC=local" -x -W -h whale

This results OK.
When I try to connect Active Direcotry from AddressBook, the error appeears:
Code: Select all
Ошибка сервера LDAP: Operations error
Дополнительная информация: 00000000: LdapErr: D…t be completed on the connection., data 0, vece
URL LDAP: ldap://CN%3D%D0%9F%D0%B0%D0%B2…e:389OU=Accounts,DC=rznrdu,DC=local??sub

I think it is not very good, that username is converted to quoted printable.
When I try to open needed URL from Konqueror, it shows the same error. The URL is:
Code: Select all
ldap://CN=Павел А. Баранчиков,OU=SEPAK,OU=Accounts,DC=rznrdu,DC=local@whale:389

The URL is converted to quoted printable too.

So... I cannot connect to Active Directory addressbook.

There are several encoding bugs in KDE 4, I have problems with japanese and, sometimes, with spanish characters. Try konqueror 3 and if works add an entry in bugs.kde.org.
