Using KDE 4.2 RC1 I am getting the same problem with RSSNOW as well... it just sits there saying "Fetching feeds" and there's no sign of these files:
/usr/lib/kde4/plasma_engine_rss.so /usr/share/kde4/services/plasma-dataengine-rss.desktop The LCD weather applet also crashes the whole of Plasma once I configure it! |

I have entered this RSSNOW problem as a bug in Launchpad, just so the Kubuntu developers can track and resolve it.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/317780 It's worth entering bugs for other problems you're experiencing, either in the Kubuntu or KDE bug systems (depending on whether you have good reason to think the Kubuntu packagers made a mistake, e.g. by failing to include those two files, or whether it's a problem with KDE, e.g. the applet just crashes). |
