[SOLVED] konqueror error

Try clearing your HTTP cache:
Code: Select all
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/cache-*/http

Also, can you reproduce under a new user?
If so -> please ensure your system installation is valid
If not -> try running the following command:

Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental

using the root account works fine, but even after running "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental" with my user, konqueror is still broken

thanks for the tips, anyway :)

[SOLVED] konqueror error

It is needed to reset your user associations configuration unfortunately. All custom launcher changes and associations will be lost, as well as anything installed through Get Hot New Stuff. You will be able to reinstall them afterwards without problems.
Perform this under your user, with Konqueror/Dolphin closed.

Code: Select all
rm -rf ~/.local/share/applications/
rm -rf ~/.local/share/mime/
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/applnk/*
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/kde4/service*/*
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/service*/*
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
killall kio_http
kdeinit4 &

Please post any error messages you may encounter, especially ones like "Access denied", since your user configuration may have been damaged.

fixed!

rm -rf ~/.local/share/applications/
rm -rf ~/.local/share/mime/
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/applnk/*
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/kde4/service*/*
rm -rf $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/service*/*
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
killall kio_http
kdeinit4 &

that gave me an idea, so i just went to the file association config dialog, searched for html, removed all the associatons on the "embedded" tab (on my kde it says "empotrado", spanish), and added KHTL, everything works again :)
