Kopete translation not functioning.

Tue Jun 23, 2009 4:22 pm
Hey there, I've been attempting to use the translation plugin of Kopete.

But it seemingly won't save my settings, it keeps setting itself to the defaults (do not translate ingoing/outgoing, german as native language and Babelfish as the translation service)

Once I make changes, the plugins pane dosent offer to 'Apply' them (the button is greyed out)

Any suggestions?

Are the permissions of $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/config/kopete* correct? They should be read/write and owned by your user and group.

Permissions can be found in (File) > Right Click > Properties.

This feature is broken for a long time. I tried to use try to use several months ago and don't works at all.
I'm not sure if this problem was reported in bugs.kde.org.
