Opened up Konqueror today after some updates and discovered that the introduction page had changed. It's okay I guess, but the top-left corner looks bad with the Konqueror logo doesn't fit in with the gray behind it.

Anyway I could modify this myself, does anyone know where this file is located at?

There is no url, it should show up when you start Konqueror.

Settings>Configure Konqueror>General> When Konqueror Starts:

@MTGap - I did and nada, it just shows my home dir, so I'm looking for the location of the html that produces the page so I can force it's use

Okay once again no url for it. I know what your problem is though, you have it load the view profile "File Management". You can only see the intro screen for the profile "Web Browsing".

Go to Settings > Load View Profile > Web Browsing

Then you should see the intro screen, I'm using KDE 4.3 though so you might have the old one.

You should be able to find the image under /usr/share/apps/konqueror/about

Thanks, I couldn't find that folder but I found it under the kde4 folder.

/usr/share/kde4/apps/konqueror/about

Now I'm a little confused though, what is in that folder doesn't appear to be my current intro page. Most definently it was the old page, the one I actually prefer. Did something change in kde 4.3 because the intro screens look the same for the other apps as well like in kontact.




Wait, must have been part of trunk. Just upgraded again and it looks better now the background behind the logo is no longer gray.
