Thu Jul 09, 2009 12:01 am
First of all sorry for bad english..... :<

Ok I have a Linksys wireless G usb adapter...
And I have Ubuntu installed with Gnome and kde I'm trying to set up my internet on kde but kwifi sometimes does not see any networks at all and sometimes it sees them but when I try to connect it won't let me the connect button is disabled and it won't let me press it when I try to connect to the free dsl network in my area it will let me hit connect wep says no right beside it but on my 6 megabit wireless it says yes I think that means security or somthing.

It's weird but the gnome wifi manager works fine no problems I really need help with this please get back to me as soon as you can thank you...

I have never heard of KWifi, or it has never been the default in any distribution I have used. As an alternative you can use Wicd, or try using the Network Management Plasma applet ( latest svn version is available from a PPA I believe ). Alternately, you could contact the developers of KWifi, who may know more on the exact reasons for the problem.
