Hi, when I log onto Yahoo Kopete always wants to add myself to the buddy list thus returning an error message mentioning "you are not allowed to add yourself to contact list". Keep in mind that I never did want to add myself to the contact list but Kopete keeps doing that every time I sign back on. Is there any workaround for this? I already tried logging onto Yahoo web messenger to delete myself but the problem persists. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is one of three problems I've been having with the version of Kopete that came with KDE 4.3.1.

Problem seems to be fixed in 0.80.2.

I've installed 0.80.2 and the problems remain. No change of any kind.

I tried the suggested workarounds with no luck.

Its right now the most annoying part of our family's jump to 4.3.
The last time something was bugging me constantly was the Kwallet last year and we finally had to shut it off.

Will be keeping an eye on this.
I did notice on Google that this bug is mentioned back in 2005.

In the meanwhile Im gonna check out if Meebo sends out onscreen notifications when you receive and IM while having it minimized.

Try logging into yahoo using meebo.com and remove yourself (your added id). Then login back to kopete. It should work just fine.
