Everytime I log in, the KWallet always prompt me for password to connect KNetworkManager, i found it is rather annoying.

Are there any setting I missed out here?

Because you need the password to "open" the wallet with passwords. I think there's a feature wish on http://bugs.kde.org to automatically open a wallet on login.

If you don't need your passwords or authentication data protected by a master password, you can have a password-less wallet.

Use KWalletManager to change the password of your wallet to a blank password. KWalletManager can be accessed through System Settings > Advanced > KWallet.

There is no feature to change the password to a blank password.

Try changing to the Access Control tab and clicking "Launch Wallet Manager". When it opens, right click on your wallet and select "Change Password"

Then do this:
  • Press Alt+F2 (to launch KRunner)
  • Type kwalletmanager and execute the command
  • Search in your systemtray (the thing with the "i" icon) for a brown icon
  • Click on it
  • A window should appear. Do a right click on the wallet you use (default is "kdewallet")
  • Select "Change password" (the name might be a bit different because I use German KDE)

* Enter kwallet in krunner and press enter and the kwallet program starts up.
* Press with the right mousebutton on the wallet and select change passwords.
* Let it empty and press <OK>
* Press <yes> op the nagscreen remembering you have a weak password

And when you've done all that, remember that anyone who can access your computer for less than a minute can also access every password you have saved.

The network manager asks for a password when connected to an open network. It makes the connection while the dialog is open. If I hit cancel on the request, it still connected. The worse issue seems to be that it is asking for the password before it needs the information. If it waited until it needed credentials to make a connection, the annoyance would be reduced.
