Hi all,
I can't find how to create a group chat with Kopete 0.80.2 (Kubuntu 9.04, KDE 4.3.2). I tried with friends from gtalk first, then from MSN. No luck, no "group chat" button anywhere. Do I need glasses ? Aurelien

Psi has group talk capabilities and is a Jabber ( GTalk ) client.

Does this mean that there's no group chat feature in kopete ?

I do not know at this time unfortunately. I do know that Psi supports group chat.

click on the small face in the lower right corner of the kopete window, then right-click your jabber/gTalk account -> join Groupchat

I see the 'Join Groupchat' menu item, but there are no servers listed. Specifically, I'm trying to create a group chat for use with google talk. Does google have a group chat server for public use?
You can create a group chat from within the gmail interface.. |

You can use groupchat.google.com But I haven't been able to "Create" group chat from this. Only join private groups. |
