Hi all, is there KDE/QT alternative to Kopete
I'm not really fond of it, and I can't seem to manage to make it work as I like it. |

Nothing exists with Kopete's swiss army knife of protocols unfortunately. Which protocols are you trying to use? Psi works for Jabber, and KMess for MSN.

What are you trying to make it do? Perhaps that's something that we can look at adding if there's not a way to do it already.

If it's a reply to me, well I'm just trying to make it be simpler and emulate a bit the behaviour of new messages from pidgin.

You can use gateways to some protocols (MSN, Yahoo, etc.) in certain Jabber servers. I use Psi that way and chat with my MSN contacts.
connect(post, SIGNAL(readSignature()), qapp, SLOT(quit()));

qutim 0.3 (https://gitorious.org/qutim) (http://qutim.org/download) supports the library libpurple, and therefore all its protocols, including msn and yoohu. For all questions can contact the jabber conference talks@conference.qutim.org

QutIM looks intriguing. I've been hoping for an alternative to Kopete to appear for a long time now, but I'm having a difficult time finding rpms available for Fedora or at least source code.

Thanks! Unfortunately, those are .2 rpms. What I liked about the screenshot of .3 was that it uses stock KDE icons instead of its own custom theme. |
