State of Konqueror/KHTML in 4.4?

Mon Nov 16, 2009 4:32 pm
I hope I am not tiring anyone, but what is going on around the development of Konqueror/KHTML? There seems to be a cease of anything interesting in recent 4.3.x updates, and I couldn't find much of improvements in KHTML on the 4.4 feature plan either. What is going on?

Well, I am lost.

KHTML developers work silently. For KDE 4.4, there will be:
1- video and audio tags support.
2- more support for WYSIWYG editors
3- Enable printing Server Side page selection when CUPS is available.
3-improved adblock filter

For Konqueror, there is is a major refactoring for sidebar.

Thanks Zayed! I have actually been checking that blog before, but I didn't quite know the direction they were taking! I think KHTML is definitely a great project deserves better attention!

i remember a discussion about konquror and javascript. Actually without javascript konqueror is the faster browser of all.
May be it will have new features with Qtscript of qt 4.6 ?

I'd like to be informed about the evolution of konqueror
if you know any links about

I installed Kubuntu 10.4 alpha a few days ago and took this screenshot. Gmail still doesn't load, but it looks really promising. :)
