Hello,

I'm using openSuse 11.2 with KDE 4.3.4. In Systems -> Notifications I have disables the sound for the Kopete event "Incoming message in active chat" (back translated from German). Though there is a beep with any incoming message regardless if the chat window is active or not.

Anything else that have to be changed?

EDIT: Now I've disabled also the "incoming message" sound. Kopete does not care about that and it still beeps.

Thanks,

Florian

This should not be possible, as KNotify handles what happens when a notification is sent. Perhaps Kopete is sending one of the other notifications as well?

It seems to work, but I need to restart KDE in order to have the settings take effect.

Another odd thing is that I have completely disabled notifications for contact status changes. Though I get an KNotify message when a contact changes to e.g. Away.

Regards,

Both of those are bugs in Kopete / KNotify. Please report them if you are using KDE SC 4.3.4

Hi Horus,

At the moment I don't have any answer to your question. You try out the solution which other members have suggested.

Give me 2-3 days time. I need to talk to some of my friends who are highly expertise in systems and computers. Let me see if they have suggestion. If yes, then for sure I will revert back in given time.

Cheers.
