Kopete and Wlm (was msn)

Thu Dec 10, 2009 11:39 am
Hi all,
I've just updated my opensuse 11.0 to 11.2 and hence KDE from 3.5.10 to 4.3.4.

I have the following problem: I'm using two different email accounts (one on tiscali.it and another on gmail.com) as wlm (msn) accounts under the same identity and while the former works correctly, the latter is not able to connect to the server.
Porting kopeterc file from kde3 to kde4, I've replaced MSN with Wlm for both accounts but with a different result. When I try to go online, I obtain the following message:
Cannot connect to the instant messaging server or peers.
and clicking on "More information...", I obtain:
This means Kopete cannot reach the instant messaging server or peers.
This can be because either your internet access is down or the server is experiencing problems. Try connecting again later.

I've also tried to remove and add again the gmail account but I'm still not able to go online with gmail account.

Do you have some idea about solving this problem?

PS: Kopete version 0.80.2 with KDE 4.3.4 release 2

I have solved the problem using the web messenger of wlm and now I can use kopete.
