Hello, I have big problem with just one network. I have found a weird behavior. I've started KDE 4.3.4 build 2 and pluged in LAN cable. During retreiving network information like DNS, IP ... kde worked fine after associating network desktop-plasma has frozen. I really do not know where is the problem. More interesting think is that this behavior occurs only with one network (we can call it FI). Other tried networks (wireless, cable) are fine and no decribed behavior has occured.
Please where is the problem? Just for sure I have checked dmesg and there is no error or warnings after associating network. I have asus F3JC-AP025. Thera two modules used wifi-iwl3945 eth0-r8169 thanks for help |

What widgets do you use in your activities?
connect(post, SIGNAL(readSignature()), qapp, SLOT(quit()));

Try removing pyWeather. Note that applets also includes those you use in your Panel.

What bcooksley said, try removing knetworkmanager as well and let us know how it did go.
connect(post, SIGNAL(readSignature()), qapp, SLOT(quit()));

But if I remove knetworkmanager I will not be able to set connection. If you have instructions how to connect without knotworkmanager I will appreciate if you share it. On monday I will try it at the place.
thanks for advices |

Try keeping just KNetworkManager open when you perform the testing. Klipper and the keyboard layout switcher are unlikely to be the cause, so they can be removed as well.

openSUSE is not affectable by Windows malware as it is Linux based.
Remove any and all applets which did not come by default with your openSUSE desktop as they could be causing the lockup. Once it is frozen however, to trace it: open Konsole ( using KRunner ) Type in "gdb -p $(pidof plasma-desktop)" When the gdb prompt opens, type "bt" and post that here. You may need to install debugging symbols.
