Does anyone know if it is possible to host an ad-hoc connection using the kde network tools? I know it is possible in gnome, but I have not found a way to do it in kde so far.
If this is possible, is there a way to bridge network interfaces from within kde? I know how to do it with brctl, but it would be nice if there was a way to do it with the kde network tools. |

In KNetworkManager: Connect to Other network > New Ad-Hoc connection

I say that option before, and it doesn't seem to do anything. I double-click it, the dialogue closes, and I don't seem to be hosting anything. I think this problem exists in both 4.3 and the 4.4 beta. I am using a dell studio 1555. Do you have this same problem?

I have never tried to use an Ad-Hoc connection with KNetworkManager. That option possibly may be unimplemented at this stage, or is implemented only for connecting to already setup Ad-Hoc networks.
I would recommend filing a feature request at bugs.kde.org aganist Network Management.
