Hi
I have upgraded from Fedora 11 to 12 and now am unable to connect to an Openfire jabber server that I could connect to before. Empathy is working fine from the same box After a while a message comes up saying Could not establish TLS session. On my Fedora 11 machine kopete is working fine still - i have checked all setings in kopete and they are the same in F12 Is this a known bug ? Something obviously changed! I am using F12 with all updates kopete 0.80.2 kdenetwork-libs-4.3.4-1.fc12.i686 kdenetwork-4.3.4-1.fc12.i686 I get these errors in .xsession-errors kdeinit4: preparing to launch /usr/bin/kopete Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing. Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing. Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing. JingleSessionManager::JingleSessionManager created. Creating the PushJingleSession task.... Sounds like a bug to me. Possibly a typo in the connect call? You should probably report this on bugs.kde.org.

I'm investigating this bug, because I just switched to Fedora 13 at work and it is now, you might say, very relevant to me. It happens on KDE 4.4.x (I forget what the newest version officially available is), and on 4.5 RC1. I even recompiled the 4.4 branch without "jingle" support, in case that was the problem. Still no luck.
My work, of course, runs an Openfire XMPP server that we use heavily for intra-office communication. Any info/feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks. --Ed |

Have been having a similar problem since (at least) April 2010 - using Arch Linux.
Arch Linux bug report: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/19175?pr ... string=psi Can connect to gtalk/google chat (xmpp/jabber), but not to a private openfire xmpp/jabber server. Any known resolution? |
